The Travel Franchise Appoints New Marketing Director

With doubling sales figures, meteoric success and huge growth plans for 2018, it’s important that the right skills and capabilities are in place to support this growth. To this end, we are pleased to welcome Amanda Mitchell who joins as our new Marketing Director.

Amanda joins us from a key marketing role at Oak Furniture Land (another true UK success story) and prior to this head of marketing for the well-known children Charity NSPCC, the RNLI and AGEAS insurance.

As Marketing Director, Amanda will help develop a growing range of services and opportunities to help all new Travel Consultants find more customers. To help our growing family of Travel Consultants we have committed a significant budget to promoting the Not Just Travel brand, resources to help with social media, online marketing and more traditional marketing ideas. This is on top of our already successful formula. Therefore it’s very important to have someone with the experience and skill set to manage a growing marketing team, multi-million budgets and most importantly has a proven track record for success.

New Finance Role Within The Travel Franchise

At the same time we are proud to announce that David Marshall has been appointed as Director of Finance for The Travel Franchise and Not Just Travel. Financial leadership is important for any business experiencing rapid growth, never more so than one expanding throughout the UK and overseas markets.

As a multi-million pound business, we needed a strong individual who has experience of working within the travel sector and the requirements of high growth business. David fits this bill perfectly as he has worked within the top 5 accountancy firms before becoming FD in the private sector. David has since built and sold one of the UK’s most successful travel insurance brokerages. We are pleased to say that David has joined us to head up our finance team.

New Managing Director Heads Up The Travel Franchise

Our third announcement comes in the form of our new Managing Director role, probably one of the most important roles any business can have as it defines the very shape of the business moving forward. To this end, we are excited to announce John West as our new MD, allowing the Co-Founders Steve Witt and Paul Harrison to focus on new areas of business growth along with support for franchisees.

Appointing a new Managing Director brings an entirely new set of skills and experience into an already thriving business. Specifically, we looked to recruit from outside of the travel industry in order to bring something new to the table. John has a vast amount of experience having worked in the franchise industry for the past 20 years heading up franchise divisions for well-known brands such as Burger King, Pizza Hut and Whitbread to name but a few. John’s experience of franchising and retail, helping develop sales through a franchise network, managing teams and heading up operations will be invaluable as our business continues to grow.

These three new key appointments represent just a small part of the investment we continually make back into our business and why we believe we are the number one franchise opportunity in the UK today.
