Co-founder Paul Harrison explains 3 trends you really should know if you’re thinking about starting a business this year.
Thousands of people are thinking about starting their own travel business right now.
It’s possibly the best ever time to do it, with travel’s biggest ever rebound underway.
But this is no get-rich-quick opportunity. Instead it’s simply a chance to get started while people can’t wait to get away – building up your customer base faster than you might be able to in “normal times”.
The goal, as ever, should be to build a long-term, sustainable travel business. One that fits around your lifestyle, with loyal customers that use you for years and refer you to everyone they know.
Watch Paul’s video below to learn more about the trends you need to know.
2022’s travel trends, explained
You may have seen the news recently that airports have struggled to keep up with passenger volumes. While this is not ideal, it’s certainly a short term issue as staffing levels recover.
One thing it shows is just how desperate we all are to get away on holiday.
And did you know that – according to ABTA – 69% of people are now more likely to book with a company using its logo?
That shows people want reassurance about their hard-earned money and much needed getaways. It’s why they’re flooding back to travel agents, with Google reporting that 80% of travel agents are hearing from travellers who’ve never used one before.
And Flight Centre says that 54% of people want to use agents again, instead of booking independently.
Many of our own consultants are also seeing high numbers of first-time customers who want to deal with a real person.
