70 consultants. 7 days. One incredible cruise! Get the lowdown on our latest Seminar at Sea around the Norwegian fiords

3 min read

Over 70 travel consultants return home today after a seven-night voyage aboard Fred Olsen’s Borealis. Our fifth and largest-ever Seminar at Sea – a dynamic blend of immersive learning and real-world cruise experience – has been a huge learning curve for agents, many new to travel when they joined.

Departing from the UK and cruising through the breathtaking Norwegian fjords, the trip is no ordinary training event.

With co-founder Steve Witt onboard, this milestone sailing delivered expert-led sessions, supplier insights and hands-on experiences — all designed to help consultants deepen their cruise knowledge and grow their sales in one of travel’s most profitable sectors.

Two cruise experts – NJT head of commercial Clare Cruise and senior cruise Business Development Manager Duncan Croucher – led some of the sessions.

“Our Seminar at Sea is about more than just understanding cruise — it’s about thriving in cruise,” said Croucher. “And there’s no better classroom than the ship itself.”

Throughout the week, consultants took part in:

  • Masterclasses on cruise marketing, customer engagement and retention
  • Workshops hosted by Fred Olsen
  • Practical learning from the onboard product experience itself

Every session is designed to equip consultants with the insights and tools they need to excel in one of travel’s most lucrative sectors — where repeat business and high margins make cruise a goldmine.

“This event shows exactly how we support our network,” said co-founder Steve Witt. “It’s about providing not just training, but unforgettable opportunities that inspire real business growth.”

Two agents onboard, Craig and Kylie, won a cruise – the prize for booking the most amount of cruise holidays whilst on the ship! After just seven months in the business, the couple have already doubled their cruise bookings and say it’s all down to our training, motivation and support.

Meanwhile, consultants Richard and Ian said:

“We have learnt such a great deal from our mentors Clare and Duncan in the Cruise Division all of which we can now put into action and take our business to the next level. The balance between learning and enjoying the beautiful Fred Olsen cruise ship was spot on. We have fallen in love with Norway and will definitely be able to sell more cruises to the region due to our experience.”

The Seminar at Sea is just one of many exclusive learning experiences we offer.

We recently announced that we would be taking some of our Elite consultants to Japan and Mauritius in the autumn – a trip included in our most popular Elite package. Consultants say these trips are worth the franchise fee alone.

We’re gearing up to announce the location of our next Millionaire’s Retreat (another trip included in the Elite package). The big question is will you join it?
