August is officially a record-breaking month – and there’s still two weeks to go.
“This month so far we’ve paid more commission to our travel franchisees than ever before. Sales are simply staggering,” said co-founder Steve Witt.
“August is traditionally a slow month in terms of holiday bookings but many of our consultants have been busier than ever!”
While disappointing weather clearly caused a surge in last-minute bookings, Not Just Travel consultants are also booking a high volume of long-haul escapes for winter as well as package holidays for 2024.
Cruise sales are also booming, no doubt buoyed by some incredible offers by our key trade partners with some itineraries offering incredible value for money costing under £69 per day fully inclusive.
In the first week of August, NJT consultant Colman sold seven cruises – one a day. Also, at the beginning of the month, agent Paula booked six cruises in just one day.
Meanwhile, franchisee Lloydie has already taken over 29 bookings worth £127k in total, many package holidays for 2024.

“I”ve had the best August I’ve ever had and it’s the second best month I’ve had this year and there’s still two weeks left to go. It feels like January Peaks has come early! I’ve already beaten my target of £122k and I’ve got so many quotes to catch up with that I’ve set myself a new target of £200k this month.”
Big bookings continue to be commonplace while group bookings appear to be a growing trend.
One of our longest standing and most successful consultants, David made a single £105k booking to Bermuda yesterday plus an effortless £60,000 flight-only booking for 40 people over the weekend.
With numbers like that it is no surprise that he has succeeded in selling over £10 million-worth of holidays since starting a travel business with us!
And it’s not just established consultants that are enjoying strong sales. Michelle, who invested in a travel franchise with us in April, secured a 42-person booking to Las Vegas worth £52k yesterday.

Like many new franchisees she made several bookings in her first week after just five days of virtual training. Another new franchisee who trained late June, last week made a booking worth £33k.
While big bookings are great for agents, the knock-on effect means there is a growing demand for our franchise packages and a lack of spaces to train in the autumn.
Says co-founder Paul Harrison: “Our advice to anyone who wants to launch a home-based agency and take advantage of booming sales is to grab a place on training as soon as they can as we now have a long wait list.
“Agents who get up to speed by January, the start of Peaks when traditionally agents take four times more bookings than any other time of year, will reap the benefits.”
He added: “If agents take four times as many sales than they have this month in August then they are looking at earning some pretty impressive commission for Peaks 2024.”
