Not Just Travel consultants Matt and Ash have proved it’s possible, even during summer, traditionally a quiet time for travel agents.
They’ve taken £300k-worth of bookings in July and August 2023 despite being abroad for 3-4 weeks – and there’s still a week left of August to make even more sales!
But what’s even more incredible is that they had never worked in travel before they started their business just 17 months ago – and yet they have already taken £1 million worth of bookings this year despite being out of the country 14 times.

“Our target was £1.3 million this year but we’ve now raised that to £1.5 million. And by the end of 2023 we would have travelled abroad around 18 or 19 times! It proves this is a flexible business!” says Matt.
“At the beginning of August we were on a river cruise and we still took £50k of bookings. The joy of this business is that you can do bookings on a laptop wherever you are in the world… and we do!” says Matt who once took five bookings when he was in Vietnam on a free trip that he had won when attending a virtual training webinar with one of our travel suppliers!
Matt and Ash are truly taking advantage of the perks available to travel consultants with many suppliers offering free or heavily subsidised ‘fam’ educational trips.


The married couple spent the July and August enjoying four cruises: two with Virgin Voyages, one with Amadeus and another with Royal Caribbean International.
Clearly incentivised by the launch of our Cruise Division last year, they are now building their knowledge in one of travel’s most lucrative niche areas, cruise, known for high commission and repeat clients. After joining our Cruise Mastery course they attended our inaugural ‘Seminar at Sea’ onboard NCL’s Norwegian Prima last year.
Matt also recently went to one of NJT’s infamous company ‘training and exploration’ retreats, the Elite Experience in Mauritius, with one of our key trade partners, Beachcomber Tours.
“I sold two Beachcomber holidays while I was actually in one of their resorts with Not Just Travel and then another six or seven on my return. We love the product – the results are amazing. In fact, I’m now on the phone to them several times a week and have just booked another £20k wedding at one of their resorts.”
It’s no wonder our key trade partners like working with us. Our agents sell more holidays following education trips than any other agency with KTPs Beachcomber Tours and Virgin Voyages already planning events with us in 2024.
