Some of our Elite agents have just returned from a free luxury mentorship retreat in Mauritius, in partnership with Beachcomber Resorts, a group of eight luxurious hotels scattered around the exotic island that’s located in the Indian Ocean.
If you want to know what they thought of the trip, plus what they got to see, learn and experience, read on. Join us and you could be on the next one!
In addition to staying at four of Beachcomber’s luxurious resorts – Paradis Golf Resort & Spa, Trou aux Biches, Canonnier and Shandrani – agents also toured and sampled some delicious meals at some of the company’s other resorts including Dinarobin, Mauricia, Royal Palm and Victoria.
“I’ve visited all the Beachcomber resorts, seen all the different room types and built relationships with the teams in the hotels. To take that home to our clients is invaluable,” says Suzy, an Elite consultant.
Warren, another agent on the trip, was also blown away by the opportunity to experience so many resorts in one week. He was particularly impressed by the friendly service and plans to return to the island soon.
“The trip as a whole has definitely helped me sell holidays to Mauritius and Beachcomber’s resorts in particular. We’ve seen all the different room types, the spas, the kids’ clubs and the golf courses. I now have knowledge of everything that’s available in each one of Beachcomber’s eight resorts on the island.”
Training, mentoring & networking
On every Elite Experience there are workshops in a classroom setting, plus time to ask our business development managers (BDMs) questions about your personal business plan.
One of our most experienced BDMs, Jake, presented to agents on learning about buyer behaviour types and how to find customers, with one of our most successful consultants, Raine, also sharing her experiences.
All of the agents got to spend time with our entrepreneurial co-founders, Steve and Paul, as well as two of our business development managers on marketing and other skills.
“We’ve learned about how to target our customers better and how to get better at selling product. I’ve picked up key skills including how your own attitude is key to building a better business,” says Becky.
There’s plenty of time to network, too. From fancy dress cocktail receptions to spa experiences and golf, consultants get to make friends and invaluable contacts while on the Elite Experience.
From renting cars and exploring the Indian Ocean Island to boat trips to explore the clear blue seas, agents were able to experience the entire island on the week-long tour of the island.
Consultants even participated in a treasure hunt in the Grand Baie area to learn about the local area, increase their knowledge about the destination and also build confidence on how safe it is on the island.
So what were the highlights?
For Raine it was swimming with the dolphins and the sunset at Trou aux Biche, while Suzy was clearly impressed with the food and Warren couldn’t believe the friendliness of the people.
Suzy recommends attending the Elite Experience – plus going on a diet immediately beforehand so that you can enjoy all the incredible food guilt-free!
“You will work hard play hard and learn a lot!”
Meanwhile, Becky thinks the entire Elite Experience is inspirational….
“If you are thinking about joining Not Just Travel, first of all, stop thinking just do it, it’s completely changed my life in the best way. You get to go on trips like this – it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I’ve learnt so much. It’s inspiring me to live the dream.”
