From new starter to £12,500 Dubai booking in just one month

2 min read

Starting a travel business doesn’t always mean diving in full-time from day one.

For many of our franchisees, the best route is building gradually — alongside work, family, and everything else life throws in.

That’s exactly what Karen did… and within just one month, she made her first booking: a six-day Dubai trip worth £12,500.

Based in Cheshire, Karen works part-time as a management accountant for an estate agent, and when she decided to take on another part-time role, she knew it had to be something she actually enjoyed: travel.

She worked briefly within the travel industry years ago and loved it, so the idea of getting back into it felt like a no-brainer.

At first, Karen had her eyes on the Elite Package and was ready to try and find the funds to make it happen. But when she heard about the new “hybrid” option, Lite Mentorship, it felt like the ideal way to start.

As Karen puts it: “Being able to build my client base, whilst earning more money, and having the ability to upgrade to Elite anytime without any obligations, is exciting.”

With Lite Mentorship, Karen completed a full day’s intense, but really great training before being paired with one of the business’s top consultants, Adrian. That means she can start right away by passing over her clients to be booked for her, knowing they’re being looked after by someone experienced.

She still earns commission from every referral, and on top of that she gets mentoring and training so she can gradually learn and build confidence over time.

Karen and Adrian also have weekly Friday catch-ups, where they go through how things are going and he shares advice on promoting the business and building momentum.

And it didn’t take long to see results – her first booking came within a month: a six-day Dubai trip worth £12,500, booked by someone she works with. She’s already got a few potential leads lined up, including high-end customers, health retreats and she’s planning to get involved in networking groups to grow it further.

For Karen, Lite Mentorship has been a brilliant way to get started without needing to pay the full Elite franchise fee upfront – she can build it steadily alongside her job and move up to Elite once she’s earned more commission and feels ready.
