Hays buy all 555 Thomas Cook retail stores
You may have seen in the news that Hays Travel has stepped in to buy all 555 of Thomas Cook’s retail stores, offering job opportunities to thousands of Thomas Cook employees.
This of course was met with celebration from ex-staff, and the industry as a whole. We felt particularly proud here at The Travel Franchise and our sister company Not Just Travel, given our affiliation with Hays Travel and having John Hays as mentor to Co-founders Steve Witt and Paul Harrison
What does this mean for Travel Consultants?
This is a hugely positive event for Travel Consultants, as it shows commitment to personal service. At Not Just Travel we use the Hays booking system, and now that Hays is an even larger buying group, Not Just Travel customers benefit from having a greater choice of holidays.
John Hays sits on the Advisory Board of Not Just Travel and acts as a mentor to our Co-founders Steve Witt and Paul Harrison.
