Airlines and holiday companies have seen a surge in bookings, following the Prime Minister’s announcement of the road map out of lockdown.

In response to Boris Johnson’s announcement, Steve Witt, Co-Founder of Not Just Travel, which has trained over 800 independent travel consultants and its recruitment arm, The Travel Franchise says:
“We weren’t expecting any revelations, but today’s announcement is really good for consumers.
It is a much clearer timeline than many people had expected which means we can all start to make plans.
In fact, we’ve already seen a surge in enquiries and bookings as clients want to make bookings before everywhere is full.
This is a slow but steady return to normality and the freedom to travel. With international travel featuring in today’s announcements, the travel industry should gear up for a busy time ahead.
We are anticipating ‘UK holidays’ to be another big seller this year and it’s likely many people will be disappointed if they don’t book early. Greece, Spain, Turkey, and UAE are also likely to be very strong destinations for the second half of this year…
The travel industry has shown once again that it is one of the most agile and flexible in the world…
Our focus is on helping people book their dream holidays. We believe there will be a lot more last-minute bookings this year than ever before.
People have booked their 2023 holidays, enjoying our “Book and Relax” travel guarantee, and are paying by Direct Debit in easy installments so it’s not a big commitment. They are leaving their 2021 holidays to the last minute – and that adds to the excitement.”
