With holiday sales booming, it’s no wonder we’ve seen a rise in franchisees winning the challenge, but Kathryn’s achievement is one of the most impressive.
Kathryn works full time in education, which means she’s a travel consultant in her evenings and weekends.
“It was hard work,” says Kathryn, “but I love the joy that you bring to people. Providing them with what they need is a real privilege.”
Kathryn says the support she received from our Business Development Managers really helped her achieve the challenge.
And now her business is booming, she plans to reduce her hours in education in the autumn, working part time so that she can spend more time booking holidays.
She also has plans to bring her husband, who works part time in the NHS, onboard sometime soon.
So what is she planning to do with the money we are refunding her?
Kathryn says she will reinvest some of the money back into the business, but she’s also putting some towards a well-deserved 15-day holiday in Borneo at Easter.
“In a way, that’s an investment too. The more you travel, the more you can engage with your customers,” says Kathryn.
Kathryn also has several MSC cruises planned for this year: to Northern Europe in May, the Norwegian fiords in the summer, and another (destination tba!) over the New Year. She’s also off to Marrakech in October.
