Emma, a school business manager, and her husband, a recently retired police sergeant, joined The Travel Franchise in March 2024.
With a passion for travel, they enjoy planning holidays and after just five days training with us, they booked a £17k cruise in their first week!
Now they’re celebrating achieving our unique Money-Back Challenge where we refund your £14,995 Elite franchise fee if you make a set amount of commission in your first year!
What will the couple do with the money? Some household DIY and a holiday of course say the couple who love booking them almost as much as taking them!
“We’ve even booked holidays while we’ve been on holiday and found customers whilst in the Maldives too!”
When they joined us Emma was still working full time, but Jason told her to ditch it when he returned from our free Millionaire’s mentorship Retreat last autumn. In fact he was so impressed with the potential to grow the business, Emma did it sooner rather than later.
“Jason returned on the Saturday and I quit my job on the Monday! I’m so glad I did!”
Lucikly, the couple haven’t looked back! You only have to look at their January holiday bookings to see how successful they’ve been!

Emma and Jason continue to find new customers by posting holiday deals on social media, by joining networking groups and talking about their business at the gym.
In fact the booking that got then across the Money-Back Challenge was a quick chat to someone on the running machine next to him!
The couple, aged 43 and 52, have two teenage children and see their new travel business as a great earner during retirement.
But having no prior experience in the travel industry they were a bit apprehensive at first.
“We looked at other similar (travel franchise) companies and the training and the support just was not there.”
As the number one franchise for people new to travel, it was our training and support that attracted Emma.
“With a lot of other companies, you’re really just on your own from the start, but with The Travel Franchise and Not Just Travel, there’s a team around you. There’s no comparison.”
When new recruits finish our virtual training (a five-day course conducted by travel experts with decades of experience in the industry), they are allocated a personal business development manager and can call our support team if they have any questions.
“You send a WhatsApp to support, they’re straight away resolving things for you.”
Emma was also worried about not having an extensive knowledge of every destination in the world, but she soon discovered we have hundreds of travel suppliers who will help.
“If I have an inquiry from a customer about a country that I don’t actually know, I go straight to a specialist supplier. They’ve travelled there themselves; know what part of the country to stay in; know what time of year is best to go and they can put together an itinerary often in an hour. They do all the legwork for you, put everything together in a fancy quote that you simply send over to your customer.”
Emma had never even been on a cruise when, in her first week, she was asked to book a family cruise for 11 passengers celebrating someone’s 70th birthday.
“It wasn’t even a straightforward cruise, it was fly, cruise and stay. I was petrified but we worked with one of the suppliers and they helped us through the whole thing.
“The clients have just come back and they had the most fantastic time and have already said they’ll come back to me again to book another cruise because everything went just like clockwork.”
Emma loves getting feedback from customers.
“It’s so nice to hear what an amazing time my customers have had. Holidays are all about making memories with your family and your friends.”
There’s one problem – it’s making her want to travel even more!
“It’s a very dangerous job – I see the deals and I want to go myself.”
So are they glad they joined? The answer is an emphatic yes.
“We wish we’d done it earlier but we simply didn’t know you could invest in a travel franchise. It’s just such a brilliant job, isn’t it? Just talking about your hobby: travel!”
So would they recommend others follow in their footsteps?
“If you’ve got a passion for travel, just do it. Don’t waste any time. Just do it because you will sell holidays. It’s so easy. And then the more you get into it, the more savvy you become and you might want to start looking into specialising in certain types of holidays, which is something that we’re looking at now.”
Do you want to own your own business, selling holidays and creating exciting itineraries to dream destinations? Just like Emma and her husband, your business could take off in no time!
