With a passion for travel, our new ambassadors, TV presenters Laura Hamilton and Hayley Sparkes, are eager to promote the Not Just Travel (NJT) brand and help you reach more customers via social media.
Boasting an incredible following, both on-screen and online, Laura and Hayley are both passionate about travel and visit numerous destinations each year.
While Laura Hamilton is best known as the face of A Place in the Sun, Hayley Sparkes flew to fame after appearing as a beauty presenter on award winning daytime ITV show This Morning and her CV hasn’t stopped growing since.
Now both are excited to have joined NJT as brand ambassadors and what’s really cool is that we didn’t contact them. Hayley got in touch with us after noticing a post from The Travel Franchise on Instagram.
After some research and watching co-founder Paul’s Discovery videos about the business she simply picked up the phone for a chat and the rest is history.
Read our interview with Hayley below:
Q. What made you want to work with NJT and The Travel Franchise (TTF)?
I discovered TTF/NJT on social media and after researching the company, I was blown away. What [[co-founders]] Paul Harrison and Steve Witt have managed to achieve since starting the company is extraordinary and I really wanted to be part of their exciting journey. I love that despite the growth and rapid success, they have maintained a business with a family feel and a very supportive and inspiring culture.
Q. How do you help franchisees/the company?
A big part of my role is to create video and social media sales tools to help the consultants bring to life the holidays that they sell for their customers. I also host training sessions on presentation and social media skills. I spend one-to-one time with the consultants on their international training trips to gain their feedback on how to grow and improve the support that is offered. I also host company conferences and take part in press and media activities.
Q. What’s so unique about the way the company helps franchisees?
TTF continually invests in new ways to support the agents in their travel business. Even though they have created a very successful business formula that works, Paul and Steve never stand still. They continue to innovate and evolve the business to provide even more support, technology and resources to help the franchisees to continually take their business to the next level. I also love that the company offers the Money Back Challenge. I have met many consultants who have succeeded and in essence, received the business completely free of charge.
Q. You’ve been on one of our free mentorship retreats abroad – what did you think?
It’s been a real privilege to go on the retreats. I really love getting to know the consultants and learning more about their personal stories and what the business means to them. I have made so many new friends since joining the company. By being on the trips, I get to witness the journey they go on, and see how the training leaves them inspired and motivated when they leave. So much learning takes place, not only from Paul and Steve, but the agents learn so much from each other too. The retreats are really transformative.
Q. Have you met any consultants that impress you?
Since joining the company, I have met so many travel consultants and I really love how the business has attracted a really great bunch of people from all walks of life. Each one has their own story, whether it’s a mum returning to work after many years of child raising, or someone who has left their job in the NHS or police force to do something completely different. The common ground they all share is that they all have a passion for travel and that they feel real joy for what they do now. TTF gives them the control to work around their unique lifestyle and to work towards achieving their individual goals and they can do so from anywhere in the world.
Q. Explain why holidays will always be special to you.
I was diagnosed with a serious bowel disease called Ulcerative Colitis when I was just seven years old and by the time I was 14 I was unable to leave the house or attend school or go on holiday. In 1997 I was rushed to hospital for life-saving surgery and woke up in intensive care to find my large intestines had been removed and I had a colostomy bag. When I was lying in bed, unable to move or sleep, I would plan family holidays for when I got my life back. The fact that I travel the world, filming and sharing what I’m doing is a dream come true. I genuinely want to help others plan their dream holidays.
