Our consultants and Key Trade Partners are celebrating January 2024 as the biggest ever month for sales in the company’s 22-year history!
Our revenue and holiday bookings last month increased over 41% and 32% respectively compared to January 2023 (and even that was historically an incredible month!)
So what does that mean for our consultants and, more importantly, you if you invest in a franchise with us?
Well for starters it means more money. The number of franchisees making six-figure bookings last month was up 15% year on year. With average commissions around 10 per cent that’s not a bad income!
The increase in holiday sales just goes to show that booking with a travel agent isn’t a passing trend post-pandemic. It means people want to book with agents and demand if anything is getting stronger!
Our co-founder Paul Harrison said: “Some people thought holiday bookings in 2024 might not reach the same levels as last year as pent- up demand following the pandemic would dampen down. However, trading so far has been the best in our 20- year history and some agents report it’s getting even busier.”
Harrison added that results show that our training and support enables people new to travel to succeed.
“We are really proud of our consultants as 98 per cent are new to travel yet are finding customers, making bookings and earning money in a really short time period.”
Natalie completed our 5-day virtual training in early January and booked £28,000-worth of holidays in under two weeks.
Another of the company’s more established agents last month made a single big booking worth £119,000.
Meanwhile, franchisee Palvi, who made nearly £200k-worth of bookings in January stated that 100% of her bookings were repeat customers, testament to her success and quality of service.
And despite processing more bookings than ever, our dedicated support team maintained a sub 60- second average wait time responding to our franchisees who called for assistance.
As the number one franchise for people new to travel, we are known for providing unparalleled training and support.
Every franchisee gets a personal business development manager to help them and as new franchisee Natalie says, they are “worth their weight in gold!”
“My business development manager Donna is an absolute angel. I would not have been able to do so many bookings without her. I actually think that is what sets this business apart is the business development managers.”
So is now the time to become a travel agent? Harrison thinks so.
“More than ever, holidays are the most prized purchases for consumers. We’ve seen phenomenal sales just after the first payday in 2024 as pent-up demand has exploded. Consumers aren’t scrimping on trips as they want each one to be truly memorable. More Brits than ever are enjoying the stress-free, personalised service and money protection a travel consultant provides.”
