Not Just Travel annual conference finishes year on a high
We have just come back from our biggest and best annual conference to date!
This year we took over the beautiful De Vere Beaumont Hotel and Conference Centre in Windsor. The three-day event started on Saturday 30 November when around 150 of our Travel Consultants attended various training workshops run by our corporate team, as well as some fantastic suppliers.
“We love getting together and catching up at these events, many of us live on opposite sides of the country so we don’t get to do it all that often.”
Gala dinner and dancing
In the evening our Travel Consultants had the opportunity to have a few drinks and catch up on business. We’re so fortunate to have so many great people in our Not Just Travel family and everyone enjoys these events for the social aspect just as much as the training. “We love getting together and catching up at these events, many of us live on opposite sides of the country so we don’t get to do it all that often,” said Scott, a Consultant from Inverness.

Exciting announcements at the main event
The main event was on the Sunday, when check in opened at 8.30am with more 300 Travel Consultants flooding through the doors of the hotel reception ready to hear all the latest innovations that Not Just Travel was announcing as well as celebrate an incredible year. The day was literally jam packed full of exciting information, awards and announcements, including trips planned for 2020, to the likes of Cyprus, Costa Rica, Canada and much more!
Other announcements included a brand new travel guide for our Travel Consultants to use to promote their holidays, and a new business marketing tool, which will make it even easier to book holidays for clients and personalise the service.

Celebrating big bookings
With bookings up by 40% in 2019, many awards were handed out showcasing the amazing results of Travel Consultants. One of the awards was for the biggest sale of the year, a ÂŁ120k bespoke trip of a lifetime for a family of four, which included a three-week trip to Singapore, Melbourne, The Great Barrier Reef, Sydney and a New Year harbour trip extravaganza on the firework floatilla.
“Positive thinking is nothing without positive action”
Travel Consultants were also treated to a workshop with success coach to the stars, Michael Heppell. The coach to Davina McCall and DJs Sara Cox and Chris Evans, showed entrepreurs how to change their lives with 90 days of positive action – and a little help from the Hair Bear Bunch. Michael told delegates that they needed to get out of their comfort zones in order to achieve greatness. “When you break out of your comfort zone you just make that zone even bigger,” he said. “Don’t let fear stand in your way. Positive thinking is nothing without positive action.” He also advised the consultants to “hang out with top performers and feed off them” and to “step up to Brilliance”.
Travel Expo
There were also workshops and a supplier expo, where Travel Consultants could meet holiday providers face to face.

Word from Paul
“We’re a small company that’s growing fast and we have invested heavily in the infrastructure and personnel to ensure we are at the very top of our game”
Paul said: “We are constantly working behind the scenes to make our Travel Consultants the very best in the industry. The launch of new tools will allow them to work even better and give their clients the very best in concierge experience at industry beating prices. We’re a small company that’s growing fast and we have invested heavily in the infrastructure and personnel to ensure we are at the very top of our game. We want people to know when they book with a Not Just Travel consultant, they are not only getting a bespoke, personalised service, but there is the clout to get the best deals in the industry and the support behind them to provide an industry-beating offer.”
The presentations finished at 6pm and our franchisees went from jeans and jumpers to glad rags and riches for the drinks reception at 7pm. This was followed by a three-course gala dinner, DJ and drinks well into the early hours.
We can safely say it was a huge success and enjoyed by everyone who attended. We’re now already thinking about next year and how we can make it even better (it’ll be hard, but we have time)!
