The current sales trends for holidays are eye-opening, with a massive 52% of recent bookings due to depart in summer ‘22.

With many bookings coming from families wanting peace-of-mind by using a travel professional, they’re taking advantage of great last-minute deals for some summer sun.

The top 3 selling destinations for short-haul breaks are no surprise:

  1. Spain
  2. Greece
  3. Turkey

Lots of our franchisees get fantastic responses by documenting their own holidays on social platforms like Facebook and TikTok. A little bit of envy turns out to be a great way to get the phone to ring!

And they’re also making the most of the marketing and sales help on offer, by simply copying and pasting the latest graphics, videos and promotions that we create for them to use.

While last-minute breaks are great for fast commissions, the majority of people still book their main holiday months in advance. 

  • 25% of recent bookings are for winter 22/23
  • 20% of bookings are for next summer

And we know from experience that the best time to talk about holidays with a customer… is right after they get back from the last one!

With the cost of living dominating the news, it’s also worth knowing that the kind of customers we’ll show you how to find are highly unwilling to miss out on their holidays.

And the great news is that – in many cases – you’ll be able to offer direct debit and low deposits. Both fantastic ways to help them spread the cost of their next holiday if they choose to.

Average booking values across winter 22/23 and summer 23 are now over £4,500. That’s an average £450 commission generated per booking.

Using those averages, if you could book just one holiday a week, it could be worth an extra £1,800 a month.
