Our pioneering Seminar at Sea gets the thumbs up from consultants who are booking more cruise holidays than ever before.
But what exactly is it and how can you get on board, enjoy a luxury cruise and make the most of what’s one of the most lucrative areas of travel? Find out below.
What is the Seminar at Sea?
The Seminar at Sea is a five to seven-day company cruise where we take around 100-odd consultants on a trip to help skyrocket their cruise knowledge and sales. We arrange the dates and the ship and consultants simply have fun and listen to onboard experts. There’s plenty of time to network with other travel consultants and staff, sample everything the ship has to offer, tour behind the scenes and improve your knowledge on planning dream cruise holidays.
How many have you run so far?
Four in partnership with cruise lines including NCL Norwegian Cruise Line, Virgin Voyages and Princess Cruises. Each Seminar at Sea has been completely different and many consultants have attended more than one as they find it so useful and enjoyable!
When is the next Seminar at Sea?
In the autumn. We can’t reveal where or what the cruise will be yet… But if you join now there’s still time to put your name down.
How do you get a place on the Seminar at Sea?
If you join on our Elite franchise package (paying in full as opposed to the payment plan option) you get membership to our cruise division for free. This enables you to book onto our Seminar at Sea which is a subsidised cruise. You can even take a partner or friend should you wish. If you join on another franchise package you can still join our cruise division for the cost of £300.
Can you go on any other cruises?
Yes. Our Platinum conference is on a Virgin Voyages cruise this year! In addition our partners often invite consultants on ‘fam’ trips or educationals. Agents can also get discounts on cruises – you are free to explore all the options once you graduate from our five-day virtual training. There are also opportunities to tour ships while they are in port – it’s a good way to quickly boost your knowledge of a particular ship.
Have consultants seen their cruise bookings increase after attending a Seminar at Sea?
Absolutely! Posting social media pictures while onboard is a great way to publicise a cruise and show customers you know what you are talking about!
Why is cruise such a great product to sell?
Many are high ticket while most cruise lines offer generous commissions – far more than land-based holidays as a rule of thumb.
