Uniworld treat our top cruise consultants to an ‘immersive’ luxury experience in London

Training doesn’t have to be dull, particularly when you’re a travel agent with us.

Not only will you be invited on trips abroad, our partners also host our agents on days out at luxury hotels and venues.

Yesterday, luxury boutique river cruise company Uniworld hosted its first ‘immersive’ event in London for 18 of our consultants who are among our top sellers of cruise.

The elite group of cruise consultants, who are part of our exclusive ‘Circle of Excellence’ received training on Uniworld’s luxury river boats, plus details of new incentives and fam trip opportunities.

To give an immersive feel into the style and atmosphere of Uniworld’s ships, the event took place at London’s exclusive Milestone Hotel, a five-star boutique hotel in Kensington which exudes elegance and charm and replicates the onboard exceptional service and decor of the ships.

Agents were given the opportunity to meet Uniworld representations, watch presentations about the cruise line – and enjoy afternoon tea and champagne.

NJT Consultant Rachael Coyne (pictured below with her husband Colman) said: “It was such a fabulous day of great insight and learning of which I felt very privileged to be invited to.”

NJT senior business development manager cruise, Duncan Croucher believes Uniworld’s training and support will help agents skyrocket sales.

Consultants were invited to a Uniworld Whatsapp group where they can ask questions and can request overbranded digital brochures to help market holidays.

Travel consultant Andy Richardson said: “The day was amazing. We all walked out saying: Wow! It’s six-star boutique river cruising at its best and the value for money is outstanding. I’ve learned so much that will convert into bookings.”

And he already has.

“I’ve booked three cabins for three ladies on a seven-night Uniworld cruise from Venice and with two nights in Milan, plus lunch and a wine tasting thrown in, it’s just £3,199pp – that includes all onboard drinks and food, flights and transfers, plus they get to choose their excursions too!”

Cruising offers agents the chance to make big commissions and it’s one of the reasons we’ve invested so much money in launching a 12-month Cruise Mastery Programme to teach agents new to travel how to sell it.

Many agents like Andy, a former estate agent who has travelled on over 30 ships, have sold so many cruises they’ve now been invited to join our Circle of Excellence.

Launched in June the elite group at first consisted of only 15 agents who had achieved a set amount of cruise bookings and sales.

“We now have 31 members who can join bi-weekly collective forums which focus on different aspects of cruise,” said Croucher adding that benefits include additional mentorship, support and training.

“Collective forums cover subjects such as strategy for 2024 or on growing the river cruise market. I then branch off and work with members on a one-to-one basis or organise ring fence training to address common barriers and bring in experts from cruise lines or social marketing for example.”

Another ‘immersive’ event with a different luxury cruise brand will be held at a luxury country house in November.
