Meet Lynette. Aged 35, she lives in Essex. She works from home for an investment bank, has 2 children, and has published her very own recipe book.
Lynette is a massive ‘foodie’ and has a recipe book out called ‘Slimspirational’ which is a low-calorie carb alternative. Her girlfriends call her the ‘Chandler’ of the group, as she is always cracking jokes.

With my new travel business, I can now build on something I love outside of working hours.
It’s great because I’m working now ready to earn next year when people travel again.
It’s something to call my own and a way to create more opportunities to travel with my family.
I still enjoy banking, but I always wanted to be in travel and tourism.
Which franchise package did you choose and why?
I chose the Lite Franchise Package. When this package was announced this year it was a real pull factor for me.
It made the opportunity much more affordable, especially in the beginning, and gave me the confidence I needed.

Why did you decide to start your own travel business?
I saw a post on Facebook back in July about earning money with travel.
It caught my attention, as I have always wanted to have my own business. I want the freedom to set my own hours, and be more flexible.
I also wanted more opportunities to travel with my family, I know there are discounts and perks we’ll get access to by being in the industry.
I did a degree in heritage and tourism management, graduating in 2005. I then sort of fell into the banking industry and have been there ever since. It’s been 15 years in total, I don’t know where the time has gone.
I have positioned myself and the business as Orlando’s travel experts. Orlando Disney in particular… Actually all things Disney!
My kids and husband don’t really have a choice, I’m a big Disney fan and have been to Orlando so many times I’ve lost count.
I can share this knowledge and experience with others out there wanting to visit.
You can find out how Lynette sold £35k of Travel in her first month in business by clicking here.

What made you choose The Travel Franchise in the end?
I had previously started a travel business with one of the competitors before joining The Travel Franchise, but it didn’t exactly catch my attention.
Not Just Travel has been number 1 Homeworking Agency of the Year for 5 years in a row, which clearly shows more investment and support than from any other company out there. Â
The online video tour was so honest and to the point. Paul, the Co-Founder is so transparent about everything when you speak to him, in terms of what you get, and what you can achieve.
What was your first-ever holiday booking like, after the initial training was complete?
My first holiday booking was for a family going to the Canaries. It was for 4 people, travelling in May 2021. It was for a waterpark hotel, all inclusive, which is just perfect for kids.
Not long after the first booking, another one came in for a family of 6 to Orlando Universal, they will be travelling in August 2021. The booking includes all the attraction tickets.
