We’ve committed to a further £1m investment in recruitment

Did you know, The Travel Franchise has recruited more new travel consultants in the first five months of 2023 than it did in the whole of 2022?

That works out to be at least one new travel consultant joining us most working days and double the number of new members compared to the same period last year (January-May).

So much so, that today we can say that we are the fastest growing travel franchise in the UK.
Why? Because more of you are recognising the fantastic opportunity to launch your own travel business and to change your life. Even if you’ve had no experience in the travel industry before, after five days of intensive training you could be up and running.

So how are we doing this? We’re investing. And investing. And investing. We’re investing in our franchisees. We know that our success is wholly dependent on your success.

That’s why we’ve committed to investing a further £1 million in recruiting the right people at head office to support you. And this is on the back of already having invested £2.4 million since the beginning of 2022.

In the past year we’ve been focusing on getting the right people in place to support and mentor you to grow your business. Did you know that every franchisee who joins us is appointed a Business Development Manager (BDM) – someone to help you operate, understand and grow your business. In fact, we’ve got the highest ratio of BDMs in the trade! And in the next two years we’ve set our sights on bringing our team of BDMs up to 30.

Our latest recruit is Danielle Dry. She joins us after almost 30 years working in the travel industry.

Previously with Barrhead Travel, she was part of the UK expansion team that opened 12 stores around the UK following the collapse of Thomas Cook. Prior to that Danielle has also enjoyed a successful career with 25 years’ experience with Thomas Cook, Lunn Poly and Thomson, across retail, sales growth, coaching, mentoring and business development.

“I cannot wait to share my industry knowledge with the travel consultants and help them move their businesses forward,” says Danielle.

Between them, our operations team has hundreds of years of experience.

Now we’re turning our attention to offering the very best customer experience in the industry.
As a result, new roles are being announced in operations, marketing, trade, cruise, training and business development. Operations staff will become Experience Managers as everything integral to the holiday sale and booking process will be far more focused on customer experience.

Customer experience is the key focus for us now as we centre on managing magical experiences for our valued clients. 2023 has proven to be one of best years yet for travel franchisee recruitment and we need to keep up our pace of staff recruitment to ensure we continue to offer the best training, mentorship and support in the industry.”
