As a Not Just Travel consultant, what can you sell? The answer: Pretty much anything, anywhere and anyhow.
In fact, it’s your customers who will determine what holidays you’ll be arranging. The reassuring thing for you to know is that you’ll have the capability to meet all their needs.
With over 450 suppliers to choose from, you can create their dream holiday. And with nearly 50 Key Trade Partners offering incredible exclusive deals and value-added offers you can offer value for money too.
Here’s a little snapshot of what you can offer.
Family package holidays

For many of you, this can be the mainstay of your business. The mass escapes during each of the school holidays are key annual earners!
Whether it’s the two-weeks, all-inclusive to Spain or a villa holiday on a Greek island, the family market represents a massive pool of opportunities.
Sample operators: Think Jet2, TUI or Classic.
Cruising

Riding the waves is not only an increasingly popular choice for holidaymakers, it’s also highly lucrative for you. You’re likely to earn top commission when you bag a cruise booking. With thousands of cruise itineraries to choose from and countless cruise ships, it can be complicated – but not when you join our Cruise Mastery Programme, which will teach you all the ins and outs (and ups and downs) of the cruise world.
Sample operators: One minute you’ll be booking a luxury cruise with Cunard, the next an adult-only cruise on Virgin Voyages. For families you might choose to cruise with NCL, Carnival, MSC or P&O… to be honest, the list is endless.
Train travel

Not all train travel is scuppered by delays and strikes you know! How about steaming across Canada’s Rocky Mountains. Or travelling like a prince across India on the Maharaja Express. And then you’ve got the iconic Orient Express for a special occasion.
Sample operators: America/Canadian Affair, Audley or Inspiring Travel.
Adventures of a lifetime

For your thrill seekers and adventurers, sitting still is not for them. They’re looking for a challenge. How about a trek along the infamous Inca Trail in Peru?
[Incidentally, our co-founder Steve is taking on this very challenge this year with 30 of our NJT consultants to raise money for charity.]
Sample operators: G Adventures and Explore.
Expeditions at sea

This is cruising with a BIG difference. For those customers curious and eager to step out of their comfort zone, how about an expedition to the frozen continent of Antarctica? Lectures and lessons in the onboard science centre will accompany chances to see icebergs and glaciers, penguins and whales.
Sample cruise lines: Hurtigruten and Silversea
Safaris

Spot the Big 5 in South Africa; go gorilla treking in Uganda or float over the Serengeti in a hot air balloon. No one safari is the same. Your clients might want to sleep under the stars in a swag bag, or take the uber luxury option in a five-star camp. A safari is definitely a tick off the bucket list.
Sample operators: Intrepid Travel, Titan Travel, Explore Worldwide
Weddings and honeymoons

Whether your clients are tying the knot in Cyprus or Mauritius, there’s a tour operator that can organise it all for them. Some of our agents choose to specialise in this sector, like Rachel Tredwell for example who’s earned herself the nickname “the travel fairy godmother”! The great thing about booking weddings is that you could be booking the package not only for the happy couple, but all the weddings guests too. You’ll definitely be saying “I do”!
Sample operators: Constantinou Bros Hotels, Beachcomber Tours, ITC Travel
River cruises

Wave off your clients as they sail softly down Europe’s grand waterways – the Danube, the Seine, the Rhine – and view the magical, historical sights glide by. They’ll step onto dry land to explore the markets, the museums, the theatres, before continuing their adventure onboard in style. River cruising is a year-round delight, but Europe’s Christmas markets are a big draw during November and December.
Sample operators: AMA Waterways, SAGA, Riviera Travel
Ski holidays

Whether it’s the Alps or the Rockies, the annual ski season is a prime time to see your bookings soar. You’ll not just be booking flights, chalets or hotels, but also a whole array of add-ons, from ski and snowboard hire, boots and lift passes – that’s all more commission for you. And the great thing about ski holidays is that they tend to be for groups, which means an even bigger booking.
Sample operators: Inghams, TUI, Virgin Holidays, Club Med
City breaks

Whizzing off for a long weekend break is all the rage right now. Perhaps it’s to Paris or Amsterdam; Budapest or Barcelona; Venice or Geneva, book your clients their hotel and transfers, and perhaps throw in VIP tickets to a local attraction?
Sample operators: Easyjet Holidays, Jet2
Accommodation only

Sometimes your customers might be able to travel under their own steam. They might just want you to organise their accommodation – no problem. We’ve got great relationships with accommodation-only operators who vet and select suitable properties to suit.
