Last week 25 of us enjoyed the most amazing experience in Mexico.
Our Elite Experience is now the most anticipated event of the year.
We flew out with Thomas Cook Airlines and their UK Sales Manager Emma, who is now a good friend of our business. Our Travel Consultants got to experience premium check-inĀ and learned all about the airlines and passenger experience so they know for the future.
Several hours later we checked in to our first hotel – The Hard Rock Hotel, Riviera Maya.
Wow, this is an amazing hotel with amazing facilities, restaurants, shops, it’s like a mini city.
Our first evening we had a VIP dinner in theĀ Teppanyaki restaurant where the chefs put on one amazing show and had many of us participating.
Day two was our first day in the classroom, and the group got to know all about each other, what is working, what is not working, where help is needed and goals and dreams for the future. We ended the session with a 2-hour presentation on how most people’s business is built, the common mistakes people make and how to fix and avoid them and start to build a business strategically.
The day ended with a VIP dinner in theĀ Brazillian restaurant, with all the food and meat you can eat.
Day three we went on a site visit with Hard Rock which was informative and amazing with many Travel Consultants ending up in the pool and sea as it was based around a Treasure Hunt rather than a boring tour of the hotel. We ended this day with a special NJT dinner and cocktails…
The afternoon was free so many of us spent it at the hotel’s Spa as we were each given $500 resort credit to spend. Having had many spa experiences in my time I can honestly say this was in the top 3, it was incredible. With 73 treatment rooms, you can only imagine the size of the place and the facilities were out of this world.
We ended this day with a special NJT dinner and cocktails…
Day four we attended a World Weddings Conference held by Hard Rock Resorts. 400 Travel Agents were in attendance from around the world and it gave us a deep insight into the brand, where it started and what is available to us as Travel Agents.
We then went back into the classroom for the day and continued our higher level learning on how to be the perfect Travel Consultant with the emphasis on gaining customers.
This day ended with our group having a special dinner in the best suite of the hotel. A $8000 per night duplex called the Brett Michales suite we had dinner, drinks and then were entertained by the Hotels Michael Jackson impersonator which was a great experience…
Day five we checked out and headed to our second home – The Unico Hotel, Riviera Maya.
The Hard Rock was a 5-star resort in every way but the Unico was another level. Rather than being as loud and in your face, this hotel was very opulent and luxurious and I would say more a five and a half star. Needless to say, our Travel Consultants were delighted, especially when they saw the rooms they were staying in.
The day ended with us being split into 3 groups to eat at either their Mexican, Italian or Japanese restaurants…
Day six started with a quick site inspection followed by our last day in the classroom. By now our Travel Consultants just want to go home and put in practice the new found knowledge and strategies they have discovered.
However, today was Mexico’s Independence Day so you can imagine what happened next… another amazing Dinner but then a coach back to the Hard Rock Hotel were we were VIP guests at a 400 person concert by Ja Rule (A famous US singer apparently) it was an amazing night and we were also VIP guests at the after party, so it was a late one.
Day seven, although feeling delicate we went on an excursion to a Mayan Village which involved zip wires, canoeing, lakes, Tequila tasting, lunch and much more… again a once in a lifetime experience but important as Travel Agents as you know what to recommend for your customers.
This day ended with our NJT Gala dinner outside by the pool with the area dressed as though a wedding was taking place, so you can see how amazing and luxurious it would be for any clients wanting to get married there.
Hopefully, this quick description describes an amazing, fun-filled, VIP week which everyone will never forget and is just one small part of the many reasons why joining Not Just Travel and The Travel Franchise is the only way to go!
